Made in 1990 and born and bred a small town girl, most people would describe me as free spirited and carefree. You’d think this would mean I’d have an overzealously positive personality, or that life would be a little more relaxed than normal. Well, let me tell you that going with the flow can sometimes be an obstacle. There comes a point where one can no longer rely on that bubbly personality to win people over or to get the perfect job. I need the piece of paper, the knowledge, and the confidence in my chosen field. So that’s why I’m here, I’m chasing that dream.
I’m the first to admit that I’ve swapped late nights out and stumbling home with heels-in-hand for a high caffeine diet with my head in a million textbooks. And it’s a challenge, I won’t lie. I’m learning new routines, I’m expanding my thinking and I’m trying my best to get some sleep while I’m at it.
When I’m not racking my brain to understand accounting I enjoy getting outside, being active and socialising with friends and family. But at the other end of the spectrum I also enjoy eating highly processed food while sitting on the couch and doing nothing productive while enduring a deep hypnosis in the trashiest television series. And don’t look at me sideways, you know how good this is!
But that’s enough about me. Most of you would know this blog is for the subject Using Accounting for Decision Making. Moving forward this blog will be dedicated to a company named Amcor, a business specialising in smart packaging and making a positive difference to the environment.

Hey Brooke - great intro ... love your phrase: 'When I’m not racking my brain to understand accounting...' ... great you are doing this ... way to go ... and great pic ... gooOO for it, Brooke. :)
